The Explore 82 is a great introduction to world of all-mountain skis. Wider than normal piste skis all-mountain skis are designed to handle all types of snow conditions from spring slush to icey groomers, from fresh powder to chopped up variable snow. The construction and flex pattern are also tweaked to help you deal with whatever the snow gods decide to give you. The Explore 82s won't feel too wide if you are coming from a piste ski background but will make things much easier as combined with the rockered tip you float over the mountain.
