The R3W is a great crossover boot giving you the best of a touring and freeride boot. The three buckle design sheds unwanted grams without sacrificing performance. Three piece shell design means you get progressive flex when skiing down and a good range of movement when touring up. The Grip walk sole allows you to hike rocky terrain with confidence but is still compatible with some alpine bindings. The buckles are designed to be opened while hiking but can then just be snapped shut for an rapid return to downhill mode. All these features are wrapped up in light weight high strength plastic shell that performs all over the mountain.
